X-ray image (false color) and spectra of the supernova remnant N132D in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a dwarf galaxy 163,000 light years away. The image was acquired with Xtend onboard XRISM. The spectrum in white was acquired by Resolve, and the spectrum in gray by the X-ray astronomy satellite Suzaku. The vertical axis is shifted to make it easier to compare the two spectra.
