Climate Change Observation Satellite "Shikisai(GCOM-C)" observed aralsea
The Aral Sea is a lake that spans Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Once, the Aral Sea was the world’s fourth-largest lake, but it has shrunk to less than one-tenth of its original size. Since the 1960s, large-scale irrigation projects have diverted the rivers that once fed it, causing a rapid decline in water volume.
